National Tree Day
27 July, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

This free annual event (10am-1pm) is just over two weeks away so come to the nursery at 57 Paten Rd, The Gap for a fun-filled morning with
Children’s activities.
Bush food and native cordial tastings
Sausage sizzle (gold coin donation)
Scones with native fruit jams; and bush food condiments for sale
Take a look at the amazing variety of SE Qld native plants as you wander through the nursery while children are kept busy with activities including
Painting 3D-printed model platypuses and frogs
Nature collages and rock painting
Plant quizzes for older children (with a free plant for each correctly completed quiz).
View our range of plants (tubestock and larger pots) including native edibles, Grevilleas, Banksias, wattles, ferns and rainforest plants.
If you have the place, we likely have native plants to suit – whether it’s indoors, on a balcony, in a suburban garden or for a revegetation site.
Parking is limited so park along the road near the Scout Hut to keep the nursery carpark free for those who need access.
National Tree Day celebrates the significance of trees, so if you’d like to plant a tree or two on the day, join in Men of The Trees Queensland’s tree-planting day nearby.
Trees add oxygen to the atmosphere, capture carbon, reduce glare and heat, purify air, provide shade and windbreaks, cool urban environments, absorb sound and provide wildlife habitats and food. And they look beautiful!
