This tree can grow to 25m in its natural habitat but is likely to be much smaller in cultivation. The red timber used for cabinet making. The species name ‘parasiticum’ comes from an early belief that the flowers were parasitic because of the way they grow from the trunk. Occurs in CYP, NEQ and CEQ rainforests.
