TREE FROM 8 TO 20 METRES TALLAn open, slightly spreading deciduous tree, corky bark and thorns along branches, red pea flowers to 4cm when foliage is absent. Very ornamental red seeds in pods to 10cm long. Frost tender. Fibrous roots are important bush tucker. Attracts birds.
